MiM for a Career Change. Is It the Right Move?

Hi forum. My name's James and I'm currently working in marketing for a mid-sized firm in London. I have a bachelor’s in business administration, but I’m considering a Master’s in Management to pivot into project management or finance. I’ve been looking at programs in Europe, like HEC Paris and LBS, but I’m unsure if the MiM is ideal for someone already in the workforce.

For those who’ve switched careers through an MiM, was it worth the investment? Did it help with transitioning into a new field, or would an MBA be better for that?

It depends on your career goals and how much experience you already have. If you're relatively early in your career and looking to build foundational management skills, a MiM could be a great choice.

However, if you have significant work experience and want to make a bigger leap, particularly into leadership roles, an MBA might offer more value. It’s more tailored to experienced professionals, with a focus on strategy, leadership, and advanced business concepts.
