Looking at the list of the top 10 budget MiMs in the US, I noticed there's not much on either the east or west coasts, save for the University of Florida. Are there no decent budget MiMs on the coasts? If the answer is no, which ones from the list are the best-regarded ones? I've been mainly sorting them based on where I'd like to live/study, given that there is no particular order amongst them, but I'd love to hear some opinions that might tilt the balance.

I'd have a look at the employment rates and average salaries in order to get a general idea amongst these schools. You should also look into employment rates for your particular industry or function. Some universities there stand out more than others, such as Dallas TX, but it all depends on what your plans are.

Maybe not the most time-efficient option, but given the lack of rankings, you could simply go through a standard MiM ranking and then look at the tuition fees to find the best budget option.
